Dreary, Wet and Cold

Ok, I will confess that I spent the better part of the summer complaining about how hot it was. And I do not lie, it was hot. I was really looking forward to the cold front pushing through, cooling it down, and hopefully clearing up the smoke situation. I was ill-prepared for the drastic change.

We have spent the last 3 days cooped up in the cabin with it raining and blowing outside. I think we were all going a bit crazy. There just wasn’t much to do. I caught up on a few things I had to get done. Resubmitted a manuscript that is in for publication and played chess.

At night we played some games. Clue became quite contentious as the rules were a tad vague. That, and we have 4 very competitive people playing. The dogs mostly ignored us.

Hopefully tomorrow will be better.
